A cauldron of herbs for a nameless illness

Stinging nettle

In Ağrı, for internal illnesses she could not name, a woman healer boiled herbs known locally as pılınk (wild mint), belhavz (greater plantain), gezgezk (stinging nettle) and gelenkotu in a large cauldron, and the patient was washed with this water for a few days. She also gave a tea of the same herbs and common mallow to drink. She had learned this from her mother.
