600 years of hair care

600 years of hair care: 14th- and 15th-century physicians such as Hacı Paşa and Sabuncuoğlu recommend myrtle oil for hair loss. In one recipe, myrtle leaves, oak galls and basil are boiled, and sesame oil and laden (rockrose resin) are added; the mixture is rubbed into the hair roots every night and washed out in the morning with myrtle water.
