The 95-year-old bonesetter
The 95-year-old bonesetter: in Muğla, a 95-year-old bonesetter interviewed by researchers held the set bone in place with a mixture of bitter vetch seed, egg yolk and grated soap. In western Anatolia, this kind of skill for a single complaint, such as binding fractures or treating erysipelas, is also called an “ocak”, and it is usually passed down from parents.
