The grape’s journey in Mevlânâ
In Mevlânâ, the grape is a journey: unripe grape, ripe grape and wine stand for the stages of knowing, finding and becoming. A dervish who has reached the secret of existence is called “a dervish who has become a grape.” The roses in the garden of his tomb in Konya were planted by order of his son, to keep his father’s love of roses alive.
