The herb of the twins’ village

In the Varto district of Muş, çakşır (Ferula rigidula, locally cağ) has one more name: “ikiziksiri” (twin elixir). Local people attribute the birth of about a hundred twins in Kaynarca village to this plant; it is said that çakşır both brings twins and gives a child to those who have none.
