The herb that fattens lambs: dadırak

In the Ağrı region, dadırak (Salvia verticillata) is used for stomach ache and is also fed to thin lambs; the lambs are said to gain weight. A warning also passes from mouth to mouth in the region: “If consumed too much, it causes death.” Folk knowledge carries the importance of the dose in its own words.
