From folk medicine

Kerdeme, cırcır, garden cress

Garden cress (Lepidium sativum) is also known in Anatolia as kerdeme and cırcır. In folk use its leaf goes into salads, its seed is used as a spice, and its crushed seed is rubbed on warts. The same source also gives a warning: taking too much of the seed can cause disorders in the body.
