Herbs for burns, wounds and skin irritation
On the skin, herbs are usually used as gels, creams, compresses or oils. Most of these uses are accepted as traditional in Europe; some are also supported by small studies.
In short
Small studies suggest aloe gel may speed the healing of mild burns. Witch hazel, chamomile and gotu kola are used by tradition for mild skin irritation and small wounds.
