Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon of fennel seeds
  • 1 cup of just-boiled water

Method

  1. Lightly crush the seeds in a mortar or with the flat of a knife.
  2. Put them in a cup and pour the water over them.
  3. Cover and steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain and drink.

Crushing the seeds lets the essential oil pass into the water; whole seeds make a much weaker tea.
