Ingredients

  • 1 dessertspoon of dried linden flowers (with their bracts)
  • 1 cup of just-boiled water
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon of honey or a slice of lemon

Method

  1. Boil the water and take it off the heat.
  2. Put the linden in a teapot or cup and pour the water over it.
  3. Cover and steep for 5–10 minutes.
  4. Strain and drink, with honey or lemon if you like.

Do not boil linden; it turns bitter and loses its scent. Good linden flowers are yellowish and strongly fragrant.
